Abstract
Sexually Transmitted Infections are diseases that can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. Most sufferers of this disease in their teens. A high risk factor for this disease is teenagers because of their usual premarital sexual behavior. Sexually transmitted infections are still a health problem in many countries. One of the reasons is the relatively low level of adolescent knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of adolescents about sexually transmitted infections. The sample of this study was 121 respondents aged teenagers with a sampling technique that is simple random sampling. This research is quantitative with descriptive method. The research instrument is a questionnaire with validity test and spearman brown reliability test r11 0.616 > rtable 0.374. The data analysis technique used is univariate with the help of statistical application programs in its processing. The results of the questionnaire analysis showed (37.9%) of the respondents knew correctly about the signs and symptoms of sexually transmitted infections. Adolescent knowledge about signs and symptoms gives a result of <70%. Overall the level of knowledge of adolescents is in the sufficient category. From the results of this study, it is hoped that adolescents will increase their knowledge by actively seeking information and being more aware of the signs and symptoms of sexually transmitted infections.
