Abstract

Although the use of technology in learning has grown significantly, some schools restricted the use of smartphones. This condition represents a challenge for digital-based evaluation media such as Quizizz. This study aimed to determine how students' perceptions of Quizizz Paper Mode contributed to the usefulness of the media, as well as influenced their attitudes, motivation, and level of involvement in learning activities. This research employed a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through classroom observations and structured interviews with 16 students. The results showed that most students had positive perceptions of the use of Quizizz Paper Mode. They considered this method fun, interesting, and motivating, as well as able to increase focus and create a more relaxed learning atmosphere. However, some students also expressed negative perceptions, especially related to technical and time constraints that made them feel rushed and unable to understand the material due to insufficient preparation. Overall, the implementation of Quizizz Paper Mode was successful and reflected the potential of this media in the context of device-limited learning.
