This research is intended to analyze the lexical category and the meaning in Acupuncture Research Share Group in facebook. The goals of this research were: first, to describe the word classes found; second, to describe the kinds of meaning found; and the third, to explain the field of semantics found in Acupuncture Research Share Group in facebook. This research used sociolinguistics approach and used descriptive qualitative method. The data of this research were the use of the words found in document and copy in facebook posted in Acupuncture Research Share Group in facebook was taken from https://web.facebook.com/groups/424523314340814/?ref=ts&fref=ts. The research result of the analysis are as follows. First, there were 2 categories of word classes, they were 1 noun was found in 69 data (99%) and 2 adjective was found in 1 data (1%), the nouns word classes found in 3 forms: pure noun was found in 12 data (17%), pro-forms forms was found in 36 data (52%), and noun phrase was found in 21 data (31%). Second, the kinds of meaning was dominant in primary meaning found in 59 data (84%), while secondary meaning found in 11 data (16%). The third, there were 7 categories of field of semantics found in Acupuncture Research Share Group in facebook. They were point of acupuncture was found in 35 data (50%), technique of acupuncture treatment was found in 20 data (29%), institution of acupuncture was found in 7 data (10%), theory of acupuncture was found in 4 data (6%), character of acupuncture was found in 2 data (3%), definition of acupuncture was found in 1 datum (1%) and tool of acupuncture also found in 1 datum (1%). In conclusion, noun was the dominant in word classes, meanwhile, the primary meaning was the dominant in kinds of meaning and the dominant category in field of meaning was point of acupuncture. Hence, the Acupuncture Research Share Group in facebook contained register (nouns) to give information since the terms (register) in acupuncture are always enriched.
