This study discussed the representation of the symbolic names which were showed in Tommorowland movie. The data were taken from the utterances in the transcript of Tommorowland movie. In this study the researcher also put some supporting evidences from the screen shoot of this movie to make the description of analysis clearer. The scope of this study was semiotics which focused on signs or symbols. The researcher was using Perrine’s theory in analyzing the data. In Perrine’s theory there were 4 kinds of symbols. Those are : symbolic names, symbolic object, symbolic action and symbolic setting of place or time but, the researcher only focused in symbolic names. Because names and skill of the main actors has similiar to some scientist in the real world. In this movie there were 3 actors who as symbolic name. They are Casey Newton, Frank Walker and Athena. Casey Newton names has similiar to Famous Scientist “Sir Issac Newton”, Frank Walker sound names has similiar to “hard Worker” and Athena names and Job has similiar to Olympus God “Athena”. The conclusion from this study is Casey was represented as the Scientist, Frank Walker was represented as the hard worker and Athena was represented as the wise creature.
