Abstract
This study aims to investigate translation techniques and how the accuracy of the translation from English to Indonesian on the Coco Melon channel. Coco Melon is a YouTube channel famous for its entertainment content for children, most of which are nursery rhymes in the form of 3D animations. The translation of nursery rhymes is important as it can affect the development of children's language, social, and memory skills. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research design to explore the translation techniques applied to nursery rhymes on Coco Melon's channel. Data were taken from the lyrics of four popular nursery rhymes from this channel that have been translated into Indonesian. Translation techniques were identified and analyzed based on the classification made by Molina and Albir. The research found 11 types of translation techniques applied in 78 data. The most frequently used techniques are Adaptation, Literal Translation, and Modulation. The translation accuracy show that Accurate level is dominant. Accurate level ensuring that the meaning of the source language is conveyed clearly in the target language without distortion. Only two translations were Less Accurate level, indicating minor problems with compatibility between the source and target languages, such as additions or omissions that slightly affect comprehension.
