Abstract

Public relations is a planned communication, whether inside or outside, between an organization and the public in order to reach the specific purpose which is based on understanding. The purpose of Public Relations it self is to attempt and maintain the understanding one another between the organization and the public. Besides, the function of Public Relation is to deliver information from the company to the internal and external public. This research is aimed to find out Humasda staff role as a public relation in PT. Kereta Api Indonesia Daerah Operasi VII Madiun. This Research uses qualitative method. In order to explain the research broadly and deeply, the researcher decides the informant to be the key informant. To decide the informant, the researcher uses snowball sampling method. The data analysis used in this research is taxonomic domain analysis. The results of this research shows that domain analytical description in the research of Hubungan Masyarakat Daerah (Humasda) Role as Public Relations in PT. Kereta Api Daerah Operasi VII Madiun are: Humasda staff as public relations in PT. KAI Daop VII Madiun, Humasda staff as target public of public relations, and Humasda staff role. Taxonomic analytical description in this research is Staf Hubungan Masyarakat Daerah (Humasda) Role as Public Relations in PT. KAI Daop VII Madiun. The role of public relations in companny is held by Kahumasda as the staff of Humasda and Unit Pelaksana Teknis Stasiun which is contain of the head station, PPKA, ticketing official and Penjaga Jalan Lintasan (PJL). The role of public relations which is held by Humasda Staff with Unit Pelaksana Teknis (UPT) of Station takes part as communication facilitator, problem solving process facilitator, and communication technician.
