This study analyzed the teacher’s strategies in teaching reading comprehension at MA Balongrejo Sumobito. The teacher applied some activites in teaching learning process. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The subject of this study was an English teacher of MA Balongrejo Sumobito.The researcher took data from the teacher’s activities during teaching reading comprehension. Data were collected by observation sheet and interview with the teacher. The result of this research showed that there were three reading stages of teacher’s strategy: pre-reading, while-reading, and post-reading. Pre-reading stage consisted of game, memorizing, and reading aloud. While-reading stage consisted of speech and silent reading. Post-reading stage consisted of reading aloud and game. The most strategies that the teacher used was discussion; It was conducted in pre-reading stage, because discussion made the students understand more the material that they learnt. Key words: Teacher’s Strategies, Teaching Reading Comprehension.
